Report on the booth at JICA Networking Fair in Spring 2023
The following is a report from our representative, Mr. Nakai, who participated in an exchange meeting between JICA international students and Japanese companies.
On March 14, 2023, we exhibited a booth at JICA Networking Fair in Spring 2023 held at Belle Salle Takadanobaba.
It had been several years since Covid-19 held such a large-scale offline event, and the venue was filled with a great deal of excitement as hundreds of JICA students gathered.
We had a continuous stream of international students at our booth, and we were able to talk with them about the research they were working on, possible collaboration in internships, and many other developmental topics.
This time we had many participants from the ABE Initiative, an African study abroad program, and we were able to interact with people from a wide range of African countries, including Ghana, Nigeria, Egypt, Libya, Senegal, Morocco, Uganda, Rwanda, Benin, and others. We also had the opportunity to speak with students from Syria, Afghanistan, and Malaysia, and we were all impressed by their passionate desire to build bridges between their home countries and Japan, and to develop their own careers, businesses, and economies.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to JICA and all those involved for providing us with the opportunity to be a part of this event. And we greatly look forward to meeting all of you who visited our booth this time at our internship program this summer!
