JICA Networking Fair in Autumn 2024 Report

On Friday, October 4, 2024, eftax was honored to exhibit a booth at the JICA Networking Fair held at Kobe Sanbo Hall.

Below is a report from eftax representative, Tomoaki Nakai:

This was our fourth time participating in this event, which takes place annually at various locations such as Tokyo and Osaka. This time, we were pleased to join the fair in Kobe.

The fair is known for bringing together a large number of JICA international students. We were delighted to reconnect with many who had previously joined our internship programs, and it was wonderful to see them stop by our booth to share their experiences and say hello.

During the business exchange meeting speech, the Director of JICA Kansai highlighted a historic milestone: October 6th marked the 70th anniversary of Japan’s participation in the Colombo Plan, which established Japan’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) to support developing nations. This year’s event served as a reminder of Japan’s ongoing commitment to international cooperation and development.

As I looked around the venue, I was inspired by the lively conversations and the genuine smiles exchanged among participants from different parts of the world. It was clear that these interactions are more than just casual meetings – these connections between Japan and international talents are like seeds that will eventually take root into something meaningful. It was a day that reminded us of the importance of nurturing these relationships for the future.
