Internship program for JISR in cooperation with JICA
eftax’s internship program, which hosted Syrian graduate students from Tokyo and Hiroshima with the cooperation of JICA, recently concluded. The participants stayed in Osaka, where eftax has a branch office, from February 8 to March 18, 2022.
Participants explored the themes of remote patient monitoring and story card ideation. Interns used their IT skills to develop prototypes of thematic IoT applications.
Internships at eftax are introduced on the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) website.
This internship was part of “Japanese Initiative for the future of Syrian Refugees (JISR)”, a JICA project. JISR hosts Syrian refugees who were deprived of the opportunity to study due to the Syrian crisis as international students in Japan, and also provides them with opportunities to gain work experience at Japanese companies. We welcomed a total of six interns between the end of 2021 and February 2022.
You can take a look at the interviews with our representative Tomoaki Nakai and voices of Syrian researchers who participated in the internship.
