This report highlights eftax’s key diversity and inclusion initiatives undertaken during the 2023 fiscal year (September 2022 to August 2023) as part of our ongoing commitment to building a workplace where all individuals feel valued and empowered to contribute.

Work Style

At eftax, we implement a flextime system and remote-based work.
Whereby employees have the flexibility of employment types; full-time or part-time employment, which allows them to adapt their work arrangements to balance their lifestyle, place of residence, and secondary jobs.

At eftax, we establish guidelines to eliminate discrimination based on factors such as age, gender, and nationality in our hiring policy, enabling the employees with diverse perspectives and backgrounds to collaborate.
Our workforce is characterized by its diversity, and the employees embrace and respect individual differences, creating an environment where they learn from each other.
Furthermore, by encouraging cross-cultural exchanges and knowledge sharing, we support individual growth as well.

Business

eftax is committed to promoting diversity in its business operations.
Collaboration with Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) is seen as contributing to the creation of new business opportunities and market revitalization, and over 15% of eftax’s overall expenditure is directed toward SMEs. (data from June to September, 2023)

Through transactions with SMEs, eftax has a positive impact on the prosperity of local economies and communities, as well as enhancing competitiveness in the market.
Fostering diversity and sustainable businesses is an integral part of our mission, and we aim to bring about active industry-wide transformations.

HaloDish

eftax’s original application, HaloDish, is a project primarily driven by student interns in Western Japan and international engineers.
This is aimed at Muslim tourists visiting Japan and Muslims residing in Japan.
HaloDish allows users to easily search for information about Halal restaurants and prayer mosques in Japan.
In the process of development, interns conducted interviews with Muslim colleagues within our company, promoting cross-cultural understanding.
Furthermore, with the expansion of awareness of HaloDish and an increase in its users, eftax aims to contribute to the realization of an inclusive society.
